Welcome to SimplyCal. By accessing or using our web application at simplycal.app (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About the Service

SimplyCal is a free calorie and macro tracking web application. It allows registered users to log daily food intake, track macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat), record body weight, and view weekly summaries. The Service is provided free of charge with no advertising.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use SimplyCal. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you should have the consent of a parent or guardian.

3. Account Registration

Access to the Service requires registration via a magic link sent to your email address. You are responsible for ensuring that the email address you provide is accurate and for maintaining the security of access to your email account. You must not share your account or allow others to access the Service through your credentials.

4. Health Disclaimer

SimplyCal is a personal tracking tool only. The information and data you log or view within the Service does not constitute medical advice, dietary advice, or nutritional consultation. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet, exercise regime, or health management plan. We accept no liability for any health outcomes arising from your use of the Service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure;
  • Introduce malicious code, viruses, or harmful data;
  • Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the Service without our written consent;
  • Impersonate any person or entity.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding within SimplyCal (excluding user-submitted data) is owned by or licensed to SimplyCal. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written permission.

7. User Content

Data you input into SimplyCal (food entries, weight logs, etc.) belongs to you. You grant us a limited licence to store and process this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

8. Service Availability

We aim to keep SimplyCal available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or discontinue the Service at any time, including for maintenance, without prior notice. We will endeavour to give reasonable advance notice where possible.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, SimplyCal and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or health-related outcomes, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described therein, in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”).

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where the changes are material, notify you via the email address associated with your account. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
